Every FISHY Board is constructed from the strongest and lightest building materials.
A high-density foam core for maximum float wrapped in either 100% carbon-fiber or
your choice of a carbon-fiber hybrid cloth or even glass for a more economical
alternative.  Resins include marine-grade epoxy or vinylester for exceptional strength
and durability.  (we DO NOT use polyester it's not nearly as tough)
FishyBoards continues product testing using SPECTRA cloth.
This material has proven tricky to work with (i guess the
strongest plastic on the planet can be expected to be difficult)
Is it really stronger and lighter then both CARBON and
KEVLAR???  Check out Honeywell's description...
We can also use E-glass for a solid board with only a modest increases in weight for a
fraction of the cost.  Glass boards are generally of light-colored pigment with only very
simple art.  We still use the same high-strength resins as with the other cloths.
COMPOSITES
100% Structural Carbon-Fiber
Incredibly strong and beautiful to
look at.  This 6 oz. cloth is every bit
as high-tech as its appearance.
Carbon-Fiber Hybrid
These cloths are available in most
colors.  They combine the stiffness of
carbon with the ding-proof durability of
Kevlar.  These are sometimes difficult
to get so there may be a wait while we
get your cloth.
Kevlar!!!
Yes this is the same ballistics material used
to stop bullets.  No you shouldn't shoot
your skimboard.  But the impact resistance
makes this one hell of a durable shell...used
best in areas which are frequently damaged
like bottoms.  Naturally golden yellow in
color.
